Microspace’s Video Services group has been a trusted provider for quality transmission of our clients’ occasional video content for over twenty-five years. Co-located with Microspace’s headquarters and Network Control Center in Raleigh, NC, our Video Services teleport and studio facilities offer a wide variety of satellite, fiber and IP distribution services for your programming from one central location.
Video Services is equipped with Ku-band analog/digital/HD, C band analog uplink and downlink antennas. Each is positioned to receive or transmit to any satellite in the domestic arc.
We also offer private satellite network solutions for clients who need guaranteed dedicated digital capacity for occasional video transmissions for various applications, such as training and corporate wide news alerts.

Located just minutes from downtown, our partners at Microspace Charlotte have multiple studio options for your live shot, VNR, or media tour. This facility offers a full time fiber interconnect to our teleport, as well as Level 3 (Vyvx) LTN, and The Switch. In addition to fixed facilities, Microspace Charlotte is equipped with a Ku HD transportable uplink and can provide single or multi-camera remote production.
Many venues on Duke’s campus are connected to Microspace. Among them are Cameron Indoor Stadium for ACC Basketball broadcasts, Duke Recording Studios and Duke Medical Center. Duke has hundreds of media trained experts for on campus live shots, single and multi-camera studio production and media tours. It is also possible to originate live HD surgical procedures from Duke Medical Center.
Trailblazer Studios is one of the East Coast’s top video production companies and offers the largest stage facility between Washington and Atlanta. UNC Chapel Hill News Studio has full time connectivity to Microspace for university based or medical center live shots. You can find a large number of on campus media trained experts. Microspace also offers HD transmission of ACC basketball from the Dean Smith Center.

We can provide end-to-end transmission from many venues with our connections to hubs in major North Carolina cities, including Raleigh, Charlotte, the Triad area (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point), Durham and Wilmington.
North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN)
NCREN is operated by MCNC, the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina. Microspace’s IP interconnection from nodes on NCREN’s high speed statewide network offers these facilities an outlet for satellite or fiber content distribution on a nationwide basis.
NCREN’s fiber-optic infrastructure provides Internet, video, audio, data and computing network services to all 16 of North Carolina’s public institutions that grant baccalaureate degrees as well as the N.C. School of Science and Math, the nation’s first public residential high school for gifted students. In addition, constituents include Duke University, Wake Forest University, most of the state’s private universities and colleges, state government, regional community networking initiatives such as WinstonNet and ERC Broadband, and many of the state’s medical and research institutions. NCREN also provides access to national and international research networks, including Internet2 and National LambdaRail, enabling global research and collaboration.
